Jason's Zweig's point was that despite what all the talking heads were providing as explanations for the market movement this past week, the difference in the world between last Friday and this Friday.... well it's just not that big! The recent market traders, whomever they may be whether computers, individuals or institutions, obviously think there is a big change. Maybe big changes are coming but unless someone figured out how to travel to the future or unearthed an ancient working crystal ball, we have no idea what really is going to happen next. In actuality the world changes about as fast as it rotates which is not all that fast. Think about it. If the world rotated too quickly a lot of us would be spending our days praying to the porcelain god! The market this week... it got ahead of itself and 'spun' too fast. It was nice to read an article showing a calmer and clearer head providing much needed insight. It was just a "Baloney Blizzard"!
